A landscape-first neighborhood
Woodstream Farms is a unique residential community created from beautiful farmland in Amherst, NY. The land originally contained a hunting lodge owned by a prominent Buffalo family before Pearce & Pearce created the subdivision in the early 1960s.
We are unique among residential developments in Amherst in that our neighborhood emphasizes the landscape rather than the homes. Homes sit on large lots ensconced with mature trees. When established, the developers sought to preserve as many trees as possible, with further restrictions on fencing and an absence of sidewalks — assuring openness, spaciousness, and privacy for each resident.
To protect our environment and property values, deed restrictions bind subsequent owners, and an Architectural Review Committee reviews additions, alterations, fencing, and related changes.
